Daily Planning Templates with To-Do List and Time Blocking
Our first daily plan printable is the simplest. It has room for the date at the top and space to plan out our to do list on the left side. After we make our to do list, we can assign each task to a specific hour of the day (known as time blocking).
Time blocking helps us to stay on track because we know we only have so much time to finish our current task before we need to move on to the next one. It keeps us from getting distracted and wasting precious minutes on things that aren’t important.
Printable Daily Plan with Flexible Categories
Our second daily planning printable has space to break down our day by category. We’ve left it blank so you can fill in the categories that are most relevant to your day at the top of each box. Then there’s space to write down the tasks related to that category underneath.
Some of the categories you might choose to use on your printable are:
- Meal plan
- People to contact
- Chores
- Meetings or events
- Work tasks
- Personal tasks
- Kid-related tasks
- Things to buy
- Books to read
- Hobby-related tasks
- Church or volunteer responsibilities
- And more!
Whatever we’re responsible for throughout the day, we can make it one of our categories so we remember to complete all of the necessary tasks.
Cute Daily Plan Template with Priorities, Time Blocking, and Flexible Categories
On the next daily planning worksheet, we can start by defining our top priorities. So often we get caught up in the things that seem most urgent, and we forget about what’s actually most important. By defining our priorities first, we can keep them central as we plan out our day.
At the bottom of this sheet, there is space to write down to-dos in three different categories.
Once we’ve established our priorities and to-dos for the day, we can assign each task to a specific time slot using the “Schedule” section in the middle of the printable.
Time blocking will help us stay on track and make sure we cross off all the tasks on our list.

Undated Daily Plan with Set Categories
If you like a little more structure for your daily planning printable, this categorized version was created with you in mind!
After listing the date, there’s space to write down our to-dos and the people we want to contact. We can note anywhere we need to go that day and what we may need to buy while we’re out.
There’s also space to fill in any cleaning or chores we’d like to get done during the day, as well as a spot to plan our meals. Finally, the blank “Notes” section acts as a catch-all for anything else we may want to add.
Daily Hourly Planning Page with To-Do List and Meal Plan
The final daily planning printable combines several of the features from the other printables, laid out in a different way.
We can list our priorities, make our to-do list, and assign tasks to specific time blocks in the center “Schedule” column of the printable. We can make our meal plan for the day and track our water intake.
And again, there is space for additional notes we might want to jot down as we go about our day.
There’s more where that came from!
